DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE - PERTH SHOW
Exhibition will launch on Friday 31 July, inviting both art lovers, old and new to view the collection which will include some of Charles Blackman’s most celebrated themes including Schoolgirl and Alice in Wonderland, as well as exploring and unraveling deeper and more obscure works.
Charles Blackman’s children, ARIA award winning artist Bertie Blackman and Felix Blackman, graduate architect and award winning graphic designer and accomplished creatives launched Blackman Studios in April 2015. Together with David Bromley and Yuge Bromley as creative advisors of Blackman Studio and as long time friends of Bertie and Felix as well of Charles Blackman, lend their expertise, direction and respect of Blackman’s work which will be unveiled at Gullotti Galleries on Friday 31 July 2015.
A series of artistic interpretations of influential iconic art by Charles Blackman will form part of the exhibition. The collection will cover many facets of Blackman, from past decades original works through to a catalogue of work created more recently which will be shared in Blackman studio collages, limited edition series of prints, quilts, embroideries, ceramics and cards. Each masterpiece will take on a piece of Charles Blackman’s art reinterpreted for the evolving modern day art and interiors landscape.

AN EXHIBITION OF RECENT WORKS
Bertie and Felix Blackman and David and Yuge Bromley invite you to an exhibition of artistic interpretations of influential and iconic art by Charles Blackman.
From past decades original works though to a catalogue of work created more recently which will be portrayed in major sculptural bronzes, Blackman studio collages, limited edition series of prints, quilts, embroideries, fashion and ceramics. Also on display will be a varying body of work with one threat, a limited edition hand bound book-an overview, compilation and missing assessment of Blackmans remarkable past decade of work.
